Our first outing in China

We met our guide and the other couple down in the lobby of our hotel at 10:00 this morning.  We all loaded up and went to Walmart.  It was pretty cool.  They had a lot more of American things than I was thinking.  They also had some very Chinese things too, like dried shark and roasted pig.  We talked with our guide and the other couple for a while, ate some Chinese for lunch, and now we are just back at the hotel for the rest of the day.

Tomorrow is our big day!  Our guide told us that he has arranged for the orphanage people to bring Hannah to us at the hotel.  :)  :)  We do not have to go to the civil affairs office until Tuesday.  He said this will be a lot more personal and less on us and Hannah.

We're Here !!

Praise the Lord! We FINALLY made it to Nanning.  We left our house at 5:00 pm Thursday evening and arrived at our Hotel in Nanning, China at 5:00 pm Saturday afternoon (we are actually about 12 hours ahead of GA time).  Needless to say we have been traveling for a while  :)  Our Hotel is nice and our guide is a hoot.  He has been really helpful so far.  He even ordered us some McDonalds before he left us and it should be delivered in a little while.  Yes,  Mickey-Dee's delivers in China  :).  He told us there will be another adoption couple staying here with us.  They are actually coming to Nanning to get their second child of their trip so let's all pray for them.

On the agenda......eat our food and then SLEEP.  David (our guide) will be back to pick us up in the morning at 10:00 and then it's off to Walmart.  I know it's silly but I'm excited to go to China Walmart !  Tomorrow (Sunday) will be a kind of get ready day/free day, and we will get Hannah on Monday afternoon.

Seoul South Korea

We made it through our first flight!  I DID NOT like the take-off!  We are now in Seoul and will get on our next flight in about ummmmmm 3 hours.  Keep praying, and we love y'all!

With MK and Deacon we did the pre-baby pictures, and I wanted to do the same for Hannah.  Thank the Lord I have an Aunt who is very talented  :)  and she whipped us up some wonderful pics this afternoon.

Thanks to her crafty and quite handy Daddy, Hannah has her bed for when she gets home. A little explanation before I post pics......

Before Mary Kathryn, there had not been a McDuffie girl in 27 years, so I agreed to GA Bulldog bedding because I just knew we would have a boy.  Well, needless to say MK came home to GA Bulldog bedding.  When we had Deacon, we just passed it down, and now it just seems natural.......We bring our babies home to GA Bulldogs  :)

it's time to travel! :)

Well, it has been about 17 months in the making, and now it's finally time to go bring our baby girl home.  :) :) :) :)

Stephen and I will leave from the Atlanta airport at 1:00 am on Friday, March 29, headed to China.  Our "gotcha day" will be on Monday, April 1.  Please continue to pray for us and our family!
